On October 6th, MathWorks applied a patch to MATLAB and MATLAB Runtime in the downloadable version of R2016b for Mac. No patch is required if you downloaded R2016b after October 6th.

Please contact MathWorks Support with any questions.

MATLAB is a high-level technical computing language and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization, data analysis, and numerical computation. It lets you explore and visualize ideas and collaborate across disciplines including signal and image processing, communications, control systems, and computational finance.

The University of Texas at Austin has licensed MATLAB, Simulink, and 23 companion toolboxes for the campus under the MathWorks Total Academic Headcount (TAH) license.

Cost and Eligibility

TAH products are available at no cost to individual faculty, academic staff, and students through a campus cooperative. Individual colleges, schools, and units contribute to the cooperative and annually evaluate whether to continue funding the program for the campus.

Faculty and Staff Only License Instructions

TAH is only for non-commercial academic use.
