Virtual ID Cards
As a member of The University of Texas at Austin, you have a Virtual ID Card that you can use in some locations on campus instead of your physical university identification card.
Your Virtual ID Card displays your UT EID and ID photo on a Web page. This service isn't available everywhere, so ask before you count on using it.
- Display your identification credentials on the Web at various locations on campus that require an ID card
- Requires your UT EID to use
- NEVER rely on your Virtual ID card as a replacement for a lost or stolen university photo ID card
Use of a Virtual ID Card is available at no cost to members of UT.
This document defines the service level agreement for the Virtual ID Card.
The Virtual ID Card provides University of Texas at Austin ID card holders a way to gain access to services when they do not have their physical ID card in their possession.
Service owners may choose to allow members of the University of Texas at Austin community to log in to this service with their UT EID and password in lieu of presenting their physical ID card.
Supported computing environment
The Virtual ID Card is accessed through one of the preferred secure web browsers. The current list of supported browsers can be found on the university's Web Guidelines page.
Both Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support is available during normal business hours. Routine requests are typically addressed within one business day.
End users should start with Tier 1 technical support, which is provided by the UT Service Desk (512-475-9400).
Tier 1 support contacts may escalate support tickets to the email@example.com support list at their discretion.
