uTexas Identity Manager (TIM) Degradation

RESOLVED: uTexas Identity Manager (TIM) Experience Connection Problems to the Mainframe

uTexas Identity Manager (TIM) Experience Connection Problems to the Mainframe ITS Staff are investigating.

Latest Update: 2019-01-12 06:02:26 - Issues with the uTexas Identity Manager (TIM) are now resolved. An incident report will be published when root cause analysis is complete. At about 1:15 pm, we had an unscheduled reboot of the primary F5 load balancer. The standby F5 unit took over immediately. After the primary came back up, we did a "fail-back" to restore the primary to active service. Most load balanced services would have continued without interruption. Some services such as enc-data.its (direct connections to the Mainframe) would have been interrupted, but could reconnect immediately. The uTexas Identity Manager service (TIM) was disabled and required manual intervention from the administrators to restore service. The F5 load balancers were restored to their normal configuration by 1:29 pm. This issue has been resolved. -Robert George
