Resolved: UTBackup Service Offline

The UTBackup service is presently degraded. Issues related to cloud backups have become apparent as a consequence of the recent upgrade. Users may experience issues with onboarding, viewing logs, and configuring settings. Users may also observe incomplete backups for cloud hosted destinations. ITS Systems is presently working with the vendor to determine a solution. We will update the Problems email list with more information as we receive it.



Latest Update: 2019-01-12 06:02:27 - UTBackup update: the UTBackup service is online. Backups will continue and logins at http://utbackup.utexas.edu are now possible. There was no loss of data in the UTBackup service. User accounts not affiliated with devices being actively backed up have been deactivated. Deactivations were limited to invalid/inactive EIDs (retired, or no longer employed individuals) or active EIDs that do not have a device associated with them (excluding TSCs and other service accounts).
