RESOLVED: 'Trust and Accept' New Utexas Wi-Fi Certificate on Your Phones, Computers

Due to security risks, some technology vendors have recently started to phase out Symantec digital certificates utilized by the "utexas" Wi-Fi network. In order to keep the "utexas" network accessible, Information Technology Services (ITS) must change the certificate. Beginning at 7 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 21, ITS will implement a new "utexas" Wi-Fi certificate. When you connect to "utexas," your device will prompt you to "Trust/Accept" the new certificate. Once you click on "Trust/Accept," you will be connected to Wi-Fi and no additional action will be necessary. We appreciate your patience, and if you have any questions or encounter issues, please contact the UT Service Desk by phone: 512-475-9400 or email: help@its.utexas.edu.
