Student Photo Roster

The Student Photo Roster provides University of Texas at Austin instructors and their delegates access to photo rosters of their classes.

  • Student Photo Roster
    The Student Photo Roster is a generated list of official student ID Card photos for a given class. It is accessible to instructors and their delegates with elevated permissions via Class Information Pages (CLIPs). Click the “Login” link to access Student Photo Rosters for classes you instruct. Student photos are considered Confidential (Category I) Data and are non-distributable to any non-authorized applications or individuals.
     
    If you are having difficulty accessing CLIPs, are encountering an error with CLIPs, or are receiving a message saying you are not authorized please contact clips-help@utlists.utexas.edu. If there is an issue with generating your student photo roster, please contact idphotos@utlists.utexas.edu with a description of the error and a screenshot if possible.

    Service Level Objectives

    Overview

    This document defines the service level agreement for the Student Photo Roster.

    Service description

    The Student Photo Roster provides University of Texas at Austin instructors and their delegates access to photo rosters of their classes.

    Intended users

    Instructors and their delegates may use this service to obtain the official ID Card photo of students in their classes. These, in turn, can be used for any number of identification purposes.

    Supported computing environment

    The Student Photo Roster is accessed through one of the preferred secure web browsers. The current list of supported browsers can be found on the university's Web Guidelines page.

    Technical support

    Both Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support is available during normal business hours. Routine requests are typically addressed within one business day.

    Tier 1

    End users should start with Tier 1 technical support, which is provided by CLIPs administrators.

    Tier 2

    Tier 1 support contacts may escalate support tickets to the idphotos@utlists.utexas.edu support list at their discretion.

    Maintenance

    ITS will notify customers about both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using the Alerts and Outages page of service availability and service delivery issues. Services may not be available during the maintenance periods.

    Scheduled maintenance may occur Tuesday mornings at 7:00 a.m., as needed. To the maximum extent possible, installation of service, application, and security updates will be performed during scheduled maintenance.

    Unscheduled maintenance tasks that require service downtime will be announced as soon as possible on the Alerts and Outages page.

    Change notification: ITS will notify customers using the Alerts and Outages page of service availability and service delivery issues for the Student Photo Roster.

    User responsibilities

    Subscribers (users) of the service and identified owners/administrators agree to be aware of and adhere to the university's Acceptable Use Policy.
