Microsoft Office 2016
Office 2016, which includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is designed to help you create and organize faster with time-saving features, a new modern look, and built-in collaboration tools.
Current students can access Microsoft Office 2016 via the Office 365 Portal using your EID and password. Once downloaded and installed, students will continue to have access to Office until graduation.
Faculty and staff can obtain Microsoft Office 2016 via the site license share for university-owned devices and can also use the Office 365 Portal to install applications on personal devices. Access will be available to these applications while employed at UT Austin. For assistance with downloading and installing Microsoft Office 2016, please contact your department’s local desktop support team or the UT Service Desk.
No cost to current faculty, staff or students.
Once installed, students will continue to have access to Office until graduation. After you graduate or leave the university, your license will expire, causing applications you download to revert to read-only. Documents can be viewed but not altered. Faculty and staff will have access to Office 2016 during their employment at UT Austin.
