Microsoft Office, which includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is designed to help you create and organize faster with time-saving features, a new modern look, and built-in collaboration tools.
Current students and employees can download and install the Microsoft Office Suite at the Office 365 Portal by clicking on "Office 365 Portal" and logging in with your UT EID. The Office Suite contains Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher (Windows desktop client only), and Access (Windows desktop client only).
Once downloaded and installed, students will continue to have access to the Office Suite until graduation.
Employees will retain access to these applications while employed at UT Austin. For help downloading and installing the Office Suite, please contact your department’s local desktop support team or the UT Service Desk.
No cost to current faculty, staff or students.
Once installed, students will continue to have access to Office until graduation. After you graduate or leave the university, your license will expire, causing applications you download to revert to read-only. Documents can be viewed but not altered. Faculty and staff will have access to Office 2016 during their employment at UT Austin.
