N&T Warehouse: Network and Telecom Warehouse requests. 

  • Warehouse Requests

    ITS Networking and Telecommunications Warehouse processes purchases of network and voice equipment and related peripheral materials for new installations, issues equipment and materials to technicians fulfilling work requests, maintains and replenishes stock for maintenance and repair of campus equipment, and handles surplus equipment and recycling according to University guidelines.

    Features

    The N & T Warehouse staff receive purchase requests for cabling for large and small projects, purchase requests for network switch gear and telephone equipment for campus projects and lifecycle efforts, handles warranty return merchandise authorizations (RMA) to vendors, and records serial numbers, MAC addresses and other requirements for the transfer of materials to Surplus.

    The Warehouse team responds to requests within 8 business hours, and once equipment arrives, ensures a smooth receiving and notification process to groups waiting for inventory to fulfill work requests.

    NOTE:  Requests for purchases sent to the Warehouse for processing all receive prompt attention.  Purchases valued between $15,000 and up to $50,000+ require additional approvals and bids performed by Purchasing before a purchases can be finalized - delays are common.  Due to high variability in equipment availability from vendors, receiving of purchased goods can take weeks to months from the original PO date.

    Warehouse responds to requests within one business day.  

    Warehouse inventory items - dispensed in one business day

    Larger equipment purchases - $15,000- $50,000 - 10 business day processing for PO, no guarantees on delivery turn-around times.
