Guided Genetec Access Management Training

To request a live training session via zoom please email bacshelp@its.utexas.edu.  This training is a 30-45 minute training session via zoom that will inform you on how to assign access to area readers,  unlock/lock doors, set door schedules, and pull a report of employee ids who have access to your areas.  Supporting training documents below are:

• The GSC 5.10 Access Management Training  is the official guide to become familiar with the Genetec Application.  

The following training only applies to areas with these features.  

• The EPSS Intrusion Keypad Training Version 1.0 guide will instruct with setting a DMP Intrusion keypad to arm and disarm. 
• The Double Swipe Video is a quick video for users who can unlock/lock doors with a badge.  

EPSS Genetec Video Monitoring Training

• The GSC 5.10 Web Client Video Monitoring guide is the official guide to monitor cameras from the GSC web client. 
  
  •  Note:  Not all Genetec Administrators have the authority to monitor cameras.  In order to monitor cameras EPSS management approval or Unit approval will be needed by sending a request to bacshelp@its.utexas.edu.

Other Information 

• All Genetec Administrators (Access Control and Video Monitoring) email addresses will be added to gsc-users@utlists.utexas.edu for Genetec application notifications. 
• When working remotely (not on campus) please be sure to VPN before accessing the Genetec applications.  VPN information can be found at Connecting to the UT VPN Service.  
• If you run into any issues, have any questions, or need to update the list of users allowed to perform Access Management or Video Monitoring for an area/building, please email bacshelp@its.utexas.edu
• Genetec Administrators and Building Managers may obtain a Genetec/Bacs Admin list at https://utexas.box.com/v/bacs-admin-list.
