How Do I Change My UTmail Username or Display Name?
For assistance a changing your UTmail username or display name, please see the instructions below:
1. Navigate to the UTmail Portal: https://get.utmail.utexas.edu/
2. Select 'Manage Account'.
3. Log in Using Your UT EID.
4. Enter your UT EID and Password. Select, 'Sign In'.
5. Authenticate using Duo Multi-Factor Authentication. Select an authentication method:
- Send Me a Push
- Call Me
- Enter a Passcode
6. After successfully authenticating, you will arrive at the account management portal.
- Click on 'Rename UTmail Account'
7. Update the following account information:
- Enter your desired email address in the field at the top of the page.
- Check the box to agree to the terms of use.
- Click 'Submit'
- Note: This procedure can only be done once per day.

3. Log in Using Your UT EID.
4. Enter your UT EID and Password. Select, 'Sign In'.

- Call Me
- Enter a Passcode
6. After successfully authenticating, you will arrive at the account management portal.
- Click on 'Change UTmail Display Name'
7. Update your preferred first and last name, then choose 'Submit'.

1. Navigate to the UTmail Portal: https://get.utmail.utexas.edu/
2. Select 'Manage Account'.
3. Log in Using Your UT EID.
4. Enter your UT EID and Password. Select, 'Sign In'.
5. Authenticate using Duo Multi-Factor Authentication. Select an authentication method:
- Send Me a Push
- Call Me
- Enter a Passcode
6. After successfully authenticating, you will arrive at the account management portal.
- Click on 'Change UTmail Password'
7. Update the following account information:
- Enter your new password in the field labeled 'Choose Password'.
- Re-Enter your new password in the field labeled 'Confirm Password'.
- Click 'Submit'
How Do I Delete My UTmail Account?
