If you are unable to sign on using your UT EID and EID Password, one potential solution is to attempt a Password Reset.

How to reset your password

To reset your password, use the online Find/Reset My Password self-service tool.

You may see one or more of the following options available to you:

  • Password hint
  • Password reset e-mail
  • Password reset questions
  • UT EID Contacts

Limitations

If your UT EID is locked for security reasons, you will not be able to reset your password. Please follow the instructions to get in touch with your UT EID Contacts for assistance.

The password hint is only available as an option for guest class UT EIDs.

The password reset e-mail is only available for individuals with an e-mail address on record in the EID System.

The password reset questions are only available if you have previously set them up.

The UT EID Contacts are available for all EID holders. If none of the above options are available, or if none of the above options have gotten you the help which you need, your next step is to get in touch with your UT EID Contacts.

Configuring password reset options

To configure a password reset e-mail, once you have regained access to your UT EID, you should go to the Manage My UT EID Profile self-service tool and update your e-mail address. Providing a valid, active e-mail address gives you the option of using a password reset e-mail should you ever need to reset your password again.

To configure password reset questions, refer to KB0014963: Setting up password reset questions for instructions on how to do so.

Help

If you need assistance with anything on this page, please contact your UT EID Contacts as described above.
