Adding a Contact Manually

  1. Press the “Directories” button.
  2. Select “Contact Directory”.
  3. Press the “More” soft key.
  4. Press the “Add” soft key.
  5. Enter the First Name, Last Name and Contact Number.
    1. To enter characters, press the number on the keypad which corresponds to the letter/number you want to enter.  When entering letters, press the key multiple times to toggle through letters associated with that key. For example, when the “2” key is pressed, “A” is displayed.  To enter “C”, press the “2” twice more.  There is a limited amount of time before the selection is accepted and the directory moves on to the next entry.  If you type another key, the character will be accepted and the entry of the next will begin.  To enter another character from the same key, you will need to wait until the first character is accepted after a brief time and the cursor moves on to the next character.
    2. To navigate between fields, use the up, down, left, and right arrow keys.
    3. To remove a character, press the “X” button.
    4. To toggle between entering lower case letters, upper case letters, and numbers, press the “1/A/a” soft key.
  6. At this point, you have entered the required fields for the contact. 
    1. If you are ready to save the contact, press the “Save” soft key.
    2. To further customize the directory contact (ex. enter speed dial index) repeat the data entry process above by using the arrow keys to navigate.
    3. NOTE: As you create contacts in your directory the next available speed dial will be assigned.  This will set the next available line key as a speed dial for that number as well.  You will need to remove the speed dial index for that entry if that is not the configuration you want.
  7.  To exit out of the contact creation process without saving, press “Cancel” soft key.

 

Adding a Contact From A Call List

  1. Do one of the following:
    1. Press the “Directories” button and then select “Call Lists” followed by “Missed Calls”, “Received Calls” or “Placed Calls” or
    2. Press the right, left, or down arrow button to access the desired list.
  2. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the list to find the contact.
  3. Press the “More” soft key.
  4. Press the “Save” soft key to add the contact to the directory.  Note: you may want to go to the contact directory and add missing fields.
  5. Press the “Directories” button to exit.

 

Updating Your Contact Directory

  1. Press the “Directories” button.
  2. Select “Contact Directory”.

  4. Press the “Edit” soft key.
    1. To navigate between fields, use the up, down, left, and right arrow keys.
    2. To remove existing characters, press the “X” button.
    3. To enter characters, press the number on the keypad which corresponds to the letter/number you want to enter.  When entering letters, press the key multiple times to toggle through letters associated with that key. For example, when the “2” key is pressed, “A” is displayed.  To enter “C”, press the “2” twice more.  There is a limited amount of time before the selection is accepted and the directory moves on to the next entry.  If you type another key, the character will be accepted and the entry of the next will begin.  To enter another character from the same key, you will need to wait until the first character is accepted after a brief time and the cursor moves on to the next character.
    4. To toggle between entering lower case letters, upper case letters, and numbers, press the “1/A/a” soft key.
    5. To exit without saving, press the “Cancel” soft key.
  5. To save your updates, press the “Save” soft key.
