UT Web is a Linux-based shared Web hosting environment for The University of Texas at Austin that will replace the current Web Central service. ITS manages the UT Web publishing space and related tools and utilities to support Web publishers on campus.
Site Creation Request
UT Web launched in October 2014 and all available fall migration openings were quickly reserved. As such, registration for fall migrations is now closed but the project team has begun scheduling new customers for winter 2015 and beyond. Requests submitted via the Site Creation Request form will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. You must be an active university faculty or staff member to request UT Web hosting space.
The UT Web Developers Wiki provides detailed technical documentation for developers.
Access to the UT Web Developers Wiki is granted through the UT Developers (DEV) entitlement, managed through ITS’ Apollo authorization repository.
Request membership to the DEV Group if you are not already a member. In the Notes field on the form, please write: "Need access to the UT Web Developers Wiki." Please note that new DEV entitlements will typically be granted access to the UT Web Developers Wiki within one to three business days.
