If you no longer wish to receive mail from a particular mailing list, you can cancel your subscription.

Unsubscribe via web interface

1. Log on to UT Lists and select your list from the My Lists option.

   

2. Select Unsubscribe from the left hand menu, then confirm that you want to unsubscribe.

Note: if you do not see an unsubscribe option, even while logged in, the list may not allow subscribers to remove themselves from the list. In that case, contact the list owner address for the list, LISTNAME-request@utlists.utexas.edu for assistance. (Replace 'LISTNAME' by the name of the list you want to unsubscribe from).

Unsubscribe via email

1. From the address with which you subscribed to the list, send a message to sympa@utlists.utexas.edu.
2. In the subject line of your email, type in unsubscribe LISTNAME (replace 'LISTNAME' by the name of the list you want to unsubscribe from).
3. Leave the message body blank.

Note: You may or may not receive an email confirming your subscription cancellation for a particular list. This depends on how the list owners have configured the list.
