Instructions vary by version and platform. Links to specific instructions for the version of SPSS that you are running can be found in the email containing the authorization code sent by ITS SDS, or by viewing the licensing code instructions.

Note that ITS SDS sends an "authorization code" by email to the licensee/purchaser. The end user then uses that code to activate the software. The system MUST be able to connect to the internet. The machine connects to the IBM SPSS Statistics Serve to activate. A "license code" is then generated by IBM and tied to that machine with a "lock code". This process happens behind the scenes. If the machine is unable to connect to the internet and the IBM server, the activation fails. The software will then continue to operate in a 14 day trial mode. If the machine does not connect to the internet, you can find alternative activation steps in the instructions sent by ITS SDS containing the authorization code.
