Get a UT ID Card
University Policy authorizes the ID Center to issue UT ID Cards to employees, students, affiliates, and other individuals required to validate their relationship with the University, to verify identity, and manage access to University services and facilities.
Take your UT ID Card Photo
University Policy requires a recognizable facial photo of the cardholder to be printed on their UT ID Card.
You may submit your own photo by following the UT ID Card Online Photo Submission Guidelines. Once you submit your photo online, if it's accepted, you should receive a notification within two business days that your ID Card has been printed and is ready for pickup.
If you are unable to use the online photo submission process, you may visit the ID Center in-person, during business hours, and ID Center staff will take your photo.
Pick up your UT ID Card
When you arrive to pick up your ID Card, if you have already verified your identity by completing your EID upgrade using the UT Online EID Upgrade Application, you will be able to pick up your ID Card without re-verifying your identity.
If you have not completed your EID upgrade when you visit the ID Center to pick up your UT ID Card, you will be required to present a valid, current government-issued photo ID.
Please check our service page for the ID Center's location and current hours of operation.
A fee may be assessed for the ID Card. See the Costs and How to Pay page for more information.
