What are Workday Apps and Dashboards and how are they used?
Workday Apps and Dashboards provide the functionality to take actions, view reports, and, in some cases, make consolidated information about a specific topic easier to access.
Access to Workday Apps and Dashboards and their specific Workday content are controlled by security and security roles. Depending on a user's role in Workday, an App or Dashboard may be accessible to a user, but not all of its content will be visible.
Add a Workday App or Dashboard
- From the top left-hand corner of the Workday Homepage, select the Menu - Global Navigation icon
- Select Add Apps button from the bottom of the Apps Menu
- Type in the name of the App you wish to add
- Select the + icon to add to your selection to the App Menu
- The App you selected will appear at the top of your App Menu
Edit your App Menu List
- From the top left-hand corner of the Workday Homepage, select the Menu - Global Navigation icon
- Select the Edit button from the bottom of the Apps Menu
- Drag and drop Apps into your desired order
- To remove an App, select the - icon next to the App you'd like to remove
- Select the Save Changes button from the bottom of the Apps Menu
