Cannot Move Candidate to Ready for Hire

Why can’t I move my candidate to Ready for Hire?

If you cannot move a candidate to Ready for Hire, please refer to the Troubleshooting Checklist in the Candidate Management – Workday Instructional Guide. Some common reasons may be:
  • The position is still posted – Unpost the job.
  • The position has not met the seven calendar-day posting requirement – Confirm that the job was posted for the minimum of 7 calendar days. If it was not, post the job for the needed amount of time to ensure candidates have ample time to review and apply to be considered for the job.
  • The Offer process has not been completed – Confirm the Recruiter has finished all of the To Do steps for the offer process for the candidate.
  • There are no openings remaining on the posting – Confirm that the openings have not already been filled either with a separate candidate or another process.
  • The Job Requisition was closed – Once a job requisition has been closed, it cannot be reopened. You will need to contact your SWS Consultant for assistance with next steps. You may be required to create a new job requisition and post again, or under certain circumstances, a job requisition override may be applied to the position, and you will be able to direct assign your candidate.
