How can I get a copy of the university’s 501(c)(3) tax-exemption letter?

 

The University of Texas at Austin is not tax exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3). Rather, UT is exempt because it is an integral part of the State of Texas, and as such, is exempt from federal taxation under the intergovernmental tax immunity doctrine embodied in the US Constitution.
